This 4-1/2" round Sanding Pad has a rigid aluminum back with eight dust collection holes and a "œhook" face to attach to the "œloop" back of the Sandpaper. This Sanding Pad can be used with the No. 528-063 Dust-Free Sanding Kit (MultiMaster) or the No. 628-074 Dust-Free Sanding Kit (SuperCut) for virtually dust-free sanding. The oscillating movement of the MultiMaster and SuperCut Tools does not generate airborne dust and allows the user to work close to edges without any recoil effect. This Sanding Pad and Sandpaper offers double the removal rate compared to top-selling random orbit sanders when used with the MultiMaster. Performance is even greater when used with the SuperCut. The high quality resin bonded Sandpaper is designed for heavy duty performance. Packed 16 sheets per package, Sandpaper is available in a wide range of grits from coarse (40 grit) to fine (240 grit). Also available in an assorted pack containing 4 sheets each of 60, 80, 120 and 180 grits. Each kit includes 1 each Sanding Pad and 2 sheets each of 60, 80 and 180 grits Sandpaper. This Round Dust-Free Sanding Kit is only for use with FMM 250START, FMM250Q and FSC2.0Q (with No. 628-005 Adapter) Series Tools. It is recommended that only Fein Sandpaper be used with this Sanding Pad to avoid possible damage to the "œhook" portion of the Sanding Pad.FEIN Item No. 63717227010.

Good deal for the price

The product is good and contrary to some comments I read it was not a mess to install and went on very nicely. That said I placed on a 71 Baracudda and starting from a 71db I was able to drop that down to about 66 with two layers Kilmatt 80mil

Kilmat Car Sound Deadening Mats

Easy to install in a vehicle! Helps keep the heat out as well as keeping it quieter inside my car. Self sticking to the inside of the roof without strong smelling adhesives. The quality of these pieces work very well in my vehicle!

Excellent Sound Deadening Material!

I installed Kilmat Sound Deadening in my truck, and I’m extremely impressed with the results. The material is thick, pliable, and easy to cut to fit doors, floor panels. It sticks very well to metal surfaces and doesn’t peel, even after heating it slightly to make it more flexible. After installation, I immediately noticed a reduction in road noise and vibrations. Worth the money!!

A Must Have For Car Restorations!

I have been installing this matting in my 74 Datsun 260Z restore and very pleased with the ease of application and overall quality. My car has bedliner coating inside and this stuff sticks extremely well and is easy to trim and shape as well. I have just started installing it and using the rollers to work it in place but I can already tell a difference with just the little bit I have added....has reduced the resonance in the metal already. It's not a fast process but know it will be very rewarding once complete.

Great sound mat for the price!

This is a good product. Many people go with KILMAT because of the value to price point. I did as well. When you clean the surface (in my case it was all painted metal) this stuff sticks very well. I do recommend you use a seam roller of some type, I used Lumiteco 3 piece roller set. This will help with adhesion and mostly flatten the overlapped edges. It also helps you see where you have rolled as it leaves little grooves. The difference when we had no sound mats and after was very impressive. We haven't finished our install yet and it is quieter than when we had an interior in the van. There are thicker mats available in other brands, but this will work great for our van build, but this helps keep the weight down. It is quality material, just be careful when you are removing the backing, the edge of the foil face can cut you. I suggest you layout where you are installing the mat and cut to fit. From what I have read, you don't need to cover every inch in the vehicle, just spot install for a big difference. I chose to cover most surfaces to help keep sound out when we are sleeping in the van. We haven't finished putting the van yet, but we have driven it around and been very satisfied with this product.
