It's not cropped but short enough to sit just above the pockets on a high waisted trouser. This jacket is a deep navy with a purplish undertone. A truer Royal Navy. I really like the shape of this jacket when left open, which I prefer. It overall is in excellent, gently worn, vintage condition. Listed as a size 7 I would call this a size 4 5 or an XS Small judging by how it fits me. As usual please
