Maar geen zorgen, je krijgt ook hulp uit onverwachte hoek. Zo kun je speciale helden inhuren en begin je je reis met jouw persoonlijke dierlijke sidekick. Helden & Demonen komt verder met drie nieuwe terreintegels, nieuwe expeditiekaarten en nieuwe grotfiches. Verder heeft deze uitbreiding extra spelregels. Zo zijn er nu de demonenkaarten, een soort strafkaarten die ruimte innemen in je stapel expeditiekaarten. Ook loop je risico op vloeken, die je met demonenkaarten opzadelen of je pion stappen terug zetten. Helden & Demonen is uitsluitend te spelen in combinatie met De Zoektocht Naar El Dorado.
