Het combineert de voordelen van micro-poreuze en hydrofiele coatings. De meeste fabrikanten gebruiken een zogenaamd 'droog' coatings-proces waarbij gebruik gemaakt wordt van hete lucht om de coating te drogen. Dit proces leidt tot een micro-poreuze coating die nodig is om het ademende vermogen te creëren. Helaas is bij een dergelijk proces het ademend vermogen en de waterdichtheid beperkt. Voor VPR-10, gebruikt Imhoff een 'nat'coating-proces. Hierbij wordt de stof ondergedompeld in water, waardoor de micro-poriën gecreëerd worden. Het voordeel is dat het membraan hierdoor ook hydrofilische eigenschappen krijgt. Dit resulteert in een veel hoger ademend vermogen en waterdichtheid. Daarnaast zorgt de manier van produceren er voor dat VPR-10 een hele zachte "look and feel" heeft die het draagcomfort aanzienlijk verhoogt. Engine air filters are important!

Just like me and you breathing, your car performs better when it can breathe freely and cleanly.
My philosophy with an engine air filter is to replace with cheap and often. You can't control the quality of air coming into your system but you can control the filtering, so I'd rather replace the filter on an accelerated schedule with a cheap product than to invest into something more expensive and have it perform dirty for longer than it should.
For my Honda CRV 2024 Hybrid, this filter fits snuggly and performs well.

Good non OEM replacement filter
Size: 165465NA1C
I recently purchased the Forccord 2-Pack Engine Air Filter for my INFINITI QX50 (2025/2024-2019) and QX55 (2025/2024-2022), and overall, it’s a decent alternative to the OEM filter.
Pros:
Perfect Fit – Installed easily in my QX50 without any issues. Fits just like the factory filter.
Good Filtration – The material seems effective in trapping dust and debris, helping keep the engine clean.
Affordable 2-Pack – Great value compared to dealership prices, especially if you replace filters regularly.
Improves Airflow – Noticed a slight improvement in engine responsiveness and fuel efficiency.
Cons:
Not OEM Quality – The filter material feels a bit thinner and less sturdy compared to the original Infiniti filter.
May Not Last as Long – While it works fine now, I’m unsure if it will hold up for the same mileage as an OEM filter.
No Installation Instructions – Though easy to install, a simple guide would have been helpful for first-time users.
Final Thoughts
This Forccord air filter is a good budget-friendly replacement that fits well and performs decently. However, if you prioritize OEM durability and quality, you may want to stick with the original Infiniti filter.
