The frisella (regular white flour), also called frisa, makes its first appearance back in 1300. Typical of Southern Italy regions such as Campania, Calabria and even more Puglia, its literal description is: bagel-shaped toasted roll. The name frisella probably derives from the Latin “frendere”, which means grind, cut into small pieces, and in fact the frisella is a crumbly food. It can be seen as a durum hard bread biscuit, cut horizontally in half and toasted again in the oven. The dough is entirely mixed by hand and is made from durum wheat flour, water, salt and yeast. The dough is then cut and rolled in a shape reminiscent of the bagel. After the first baking in a wood oven, it is cut in the middle with an iron wire and the two sides are baked again. Because of this cooking process the two sides have a different look: one is porous and the other one is compact.
Package:  350 gr

The frisella is an economic and poor food because it basically lacks anything. It is also fat free, which makes it incomparable to any other crackers or bread sticks and makes it perfect for diets. It is a time-resistant food being it a dry food. It can not go bad in fact it is already a dry bread and is, moreover, a good alternative to normal bread. According to tradition, the frisella made of durum wheat flour was a food for wealthy families while poorer people used to eat friselle made of barley wheat. Frisella today is a very popular food on the tables of Puglia in particular during the summer as it is a light and fresh food that goes well with the products of this region and typical of the season.

To enjoy it the best, soak it in cold water for a time that depends on individual taste and thickness of cooked dough (in the past people in Puglia used to douse the friselle directly in sea water and then add dressing). Then dress it with fresh tomatoes, oregano, salt and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil. The frisella is a poor food but its flavor is incomparable.

Nice look, perfect size and great price!
Color: Black, Size: Small
Absolutely perfect for 5 remotes. The bins are deep and very wide. It's a very reasonable price and it's compact size fits in smaller spaces so it doesn't take up a lot of room. Also, you can't beat the price and genuine leather. Good in any room.

My remote caddy
Color: Black, Size: Small
I have so many gadgets that uses remotes, my end table looked awful with remotes everywhere and when I would move something, a remote would fall off the table. It was aggravating but now I have a nice caddy to sit on my table and it holds all of my remotes. It's beautifully designed and was shipped to me very quickly. I think it was in my mailbox within 24 hours. I'm very pleased with the item and the person I purchased it from was quick to get it to me. Thank you.

Sleek and spacious
Color: Black, Size: Small
Perfect for those who have multiple remotes and need a single place to stow them away. Material is leather like, firm and has a texture design. It suits well on a countertop or end table. It is not petite.

Great product
Color: Black, Size: Small
This is great to store multiple remotes in a small footprint clearing up table room. My 6 year old Grandson loves it also keeping remotes in one area. He operates the TV also. We loved it so much we bought a second for another room.

Perfect for me.
Color: Black, Size: Small
I was a little trepidatious before opening it all up and checking out the holder. I didn't know whether or not the larger remotes I had would fit. How would it work for the bulky / longer TV and Universal Remotes. It worked perfectly. The holder is small enough to use on a small side table next to the couch. And it's very simple to access. The living room now looks like a living room...rather than Radio Shack gone biserk.
