His Love Endures Forever
This collage art is a one-of-a-kind creation of Shane Dennehey. He made it by covering a wooden panel with remnant pages from antique Bibles, psalm books, and little bits of paper we found while reclaiming pianos. All these disparate pieces are assembled with our original heart art and lettering that was cut to evoke powerful messages.
The theme of this collage is Psalm 136; in this passage, the writer repeats, “His love endures forever” 26 times to exalt and thank The Lord for all He has done through the ages. The partial Biblical text is present throughout the artwork from several sources, accompanied by many smaller sayings from antique church bulletins we found tucked under the keys of antique pianos.
We Made This Art using several techniques, including hand-cut decoupage lettering, acrylic painting, and an engraving for the patterns. Several layers of paint and medium were built up to add texture and depth to the panel.
