Flash String burns fastest, due to the thermals, if it is lit from below while hanging. In this case, the burn rate is roughly comparable to that of flash paper. On the other hand, lying horizontally, it burns much more slowly. The flame image is bright orange-yellow. A 5 meter package does NOT mean that each package contains 10 m of string in one piece. Depending on the production, it can happen that every now 2 or pieces may be knotted together.
