artist biography
Arvid Skoggård, born 1886 in Norrland, was a Swedish painter and sculptor.
Skoggård studied painting in Sweden, followed by a year in Italy in 1920. He exhibited in Sweden including showing at Liljevalch's Stockholmssalong in 1922. He worked for a few years as a decorative painter in Stockholm before emigrating to America in 1923. He was active in New York as a sculptor and painter from 1934 under the name Arvid Skoggard.
Skoggård passed away in 1950 in the U.S.A.
