Rachel Grimes is best known for her chamber music project Rachel's, a hugely influential group formed in 1991 in Louisville, Kentucky, releasing six studio albums between 1995 and 2005. She has also released a string of contemporary classical works in recent years on labels such as Temporary Residence. Astrïd is a collective of four musicians based in Nantes, releasing records on Rune Grammofon and Home Normal. After years of mail and email back and forth over the ocean, from Nantes to Kentucky, Astrïd invited Rachel to come for a residency to make music together and play shows in France. They gathered for a few days, here and there, in 2012 and 2013 to write songs in Cyril and Vanina's home studio in the countryside. The compositions found on Through The Sparkle glow with a unique, connected energy and a pure, instinctive musical understanding. Considered contributions from all sides allow the pieces to unfurl naturally. Each note and phrase feels like it simply couldn't be placed anywhere else in the album. Charming, gentle, and cinematic sounds are found here in abundance. Melodies circle and reveal themselves without force, allowing the listener to focus and explore the depths of what is on offer. Musically, Through The Sparkle is an expansive and evocative album. There is a presence to be felt throughout, from Cyril Secq's emotive tremelo'd guitars of "M5" to the darker, more haunting mood of "The Theme", to the tension in "Mossgrove & Seaweed". Strings and woodwind coalesce around intricate piano and guitar movements creating a wealth of harmony and melancholy. Through The Sparkle is a record of miniature symphonies, of elegant restraint. A Game Changer for Pet Hair Cleanup!

This robot vacuum and mop combo has been fabulous. We have a golden retriever that constantly keeps us on our toes with shedding and cleaning, but this has definitely helped cut down the time spent cleaning every day. The suction power is impressive, it does a great job on pet hair, and the mop feature is a huge bonus. I also love the self-emptying dock and app control — it makes everything so convenient. Definitely worth it for pet owners!

Pretty solid upgrade from my old robot vacuum

I bought this robot vacuum to replace an older one I had, and after using it for about a month, I’d say it’s been working pretty well overall. When I first got it, one thing I noticed was that it’s a bit on the larger side, so it does take up some space. Setup was pretty simple though, and once it got going, it just kind of did its thing without me having to babysit it. The suction is definitely strong enough for everyday dust and pet hair. I’ve used it on both hard floors and carpet, and it handled both without any issues. The mopping feature is new to me since my old robot didn’t have it. I’d say the results are about what I expected, it’s great for maintaining daily cleanliness, but for tougher stains it’s still not quite the same as scrubbing by hand. For regular upkeep though, it does the job just fine. The corner cleaning has actually been a nice surprise. It will go under furniture and use the side brush to get dust out of corners, which used to be something I had to do myself. Now I barely have to think about it.
So far, both my family and I are pretty happy with it. We haven’t run into any major issues. It does a good job avoiding objects around the house, although there were a couple of times where its path looked a bit random to me. Still, most of the time it’s quietly doing its job and saving us a lot of time on cleaning.

Powerful and convenient

Really happy with this robot vacuum so far. The suction is strong and it picks up dust and pet hair easily. Mapping is accurate, and it cleans efficiently without missing spots.
The self-emptying dock is super convenient and saves a lot of time. Mopping works well for light cleaning too.Overall, a great upgrade and definitely worth it.

Better Than Expected

Been using the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 for a few days now and honestly it’s better than I expected.The suction power is strong, especially for dust, hair, and small debris. The mopping performance is also surprisingly good compared to older robot vacuums.What I like most is the automation — auto-emptying, auto mop washing, and auto drying make daily cleaning much easier.Navigation is smart and smooth, and it rarely bumps into things.The only downside is the dirty water tank needs regular cleaning, and thick carpets still clean better with a traditional vacuum.Overall, it’s a great upgrade for busy people who want to keep their home clean without spending too much time on it.

The experience has been excellent

Just received the Dreame L40 Ultra GEN2 and my first impression is very positive! The packaging feels premium, and the setup process was quick and easy through the app. The first mapping run was surprisingly fast, and the navigation was smart without randomly bumping into things.
The cleaning performance exceeded my expectations. It picked up dust and hair very well on the first run, and the mopping feature left the floors looking noticeably cleaner. The noise level is also lower than I expected, which is a nice bonus.
So far, I’m really happy with my first experience using it. It already feels like it’s going to save me a lot of time on cleaning, and I’m excited to keep using it!
