About the Workshop:

This in-person workshop is taught by Barbara Mauriello.

In this pochoir-to-book workshop, we’ll cut stencils, design two books, paint the pages, and bind them. By limiting our pallet to two colors and two shapes we will explore how different approaches can be used to create change from page to page. The challenge is to do as much as possible with as little as possible.

Inspiration for this workshop is everywhere—look at the exquisite geometry of Islamic tiles; the minimalism of the Bauhaus (Sophie Taeuber-Arp!); the small repeat patterns in Japanese textiles (Komom).

No previous bookbinding or painting skills are required!

Fun Fact: Pochoir prints (one of the techniques used to decorate pages in this workshop) is a stenciling method most popular during the 1920s, and can be seen in many art deco fashion prints.

Materials

Participants should bring their own paints and brushes, all other materials will be provided by Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.

Linen Grey Pot Set
Color: Linen Gray, Color: Linen Gray
These pots are exactly what I was looking for! The handles are super easy to attach and remove, which makes cooking and storage so much more convenient. I really love this set. It feels well made and practical for everyday use. The color looks even better in person, which was a nice surprise. Overall, I highly recommend this pot set. It’s a great quality product and definitely worth it.

Wowed by the quality and utility of the set!
Color: Ivory
Love the detachable handle, thoughtful lids, as well as the Tupperware style storage lids. These will be easy to clean in the dishwasher or sink. They are lighter weight than my other ceramic pans which I appreciate

Great Cookware Set
Color: Linen Gray
It features a simple combination of various cooking functions, and I like its moveable handle, which saves space when storing. The price is also reasonable, so I recommend you buy one.
