FIRST TASTE
This is one of the best Margaux declassified wines to date. This wine will easily keep for 7-8 years; on tasting it is a classic fresh Margaux with hints of rich opulent blackberries, subtle tobacco, and cinnamon notes on the finish. This wine will go extremely well with lamb cutlets or sirloin steak. This is a real treat for us all and comes highly recommended, I would give this a well deserved 96+ pts - outstanding value and one of the best buys of 2023 without doubt.
TASTING NOTES
With its deep garnet red colour, this 2020 Margaux has delicate blackcurrant and blackberry fruit and touches of oak on the nose. On the palate the wine shows lots of elegance and finesse. Tannins of excellent quality make this Margaux fruity, supple and powerful at the same time, with a lingering finish of spice and toasted notes. A wine with all the typical taste and elegance of this exceptional terroir.
AGEING
Drinking from 2024; a great match for a fine cut of grilled meat or a well-garnished cheese board, but whatever the case over any informal meal.
