קמנס הטורקי הוא כלי מוסיקה אתני החוגג את מגוון התרבות האנטולית. למרות שהוא טועה בעיקר כפסיל קמנס, אין לו גודל סטנדרטי כמו מכשירים פולקלוריים אחרים. מוזיקאים מקצועיים מנגנים בדרך כלל קמנס באורך 56 ס"מ העשוי מעץ ערער או שזיף. כאשר מנגנים אותו, בניגוד לרוב כלי הנגינה המיתרים, הצליל מופק באמצעות כיפת ציפורניים.

לקמנס הטורקי יש שלושה חלקים. גופו מגולף מעץ. למרות שאין לו גודל סטנדרטי, רוב אנשי המקצוע מעדיפים לשחק במשחק של 50-60 ס"מ. יש לו מראות מצריים וגב שטוח שקל לטפל בו במהלך המשחק או ברגל. בית החזה של קמנס הטורקי הוא דק מאוד ובדרך כלל עשוי אשוח או אשוח. המאפיין הבולט ביותר שלה הוא הכיפה המורמת. זה שם כדי להתגבר על הלחץ שמופעל על המיתרים בזמן המשחק.
