Impact Off-Camera Flash Accessory Kit

B&H has put together this Off-Camera Flash Accessory Kit for photographers who want to maximize the capabilities of a pair of shoe-mount flashes. The kit includes two white translucent 32" umbrellas and umbrella brackets, and two 8' air-cushioned light stands.

32" White Umbrella

The Impact white umbrella broadens and diffuses the harsh light of the flash. It can be used in classic bounce mode or in "shoot through" mode by pumping the light through the umbrella with its convex side facing the subject.

Umbrella Bracket

The umbrella bracket will fit on almost any light stand. It includes two removable, reversible studs to adapt to light stands with top studs smaller than the standard 5/8". This bracket tilts and swivels to make aiming the light or flash easy. It also includes a cold shoe mount, which will accept virtually any shoe-mount flash unit (except Minolta/Sony).

Light Stand

This aluminum 8' Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand is 4-section light support with sure-twist section locks. If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm.

• 2 x Impact Umbrella - White - 32"

  This is an Impact 32" White Reflective Umbrella . Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining.

  Choosing umbrella size is determined by the size of the subject, and the strength of the light supply being used. Choosing an umbrella surface is as subjective as choosing a paint and brush.

• 2 x Impact Umbrella Bracket

  The Impact Shoe Mount Umbrella Bracket is a versatile bracket that will fit on almost any light stand. It includes two removable, reversible studs to adapt to light stands with top studs smaller than the standard 5/8". This bracket tilts and swivels to make aiming the light or flash easy. It also includes a cold shoe mount, which will accept virtually any shoe-mount flash unit (except Minolta/Sony).

  Note: Not compatible with Nikon SB-900, SB-910, or Canon 600EX-RT. As an alternative, please see Impact #9101880.

  Two Removable Studs

  The provided studs can be removed from the interior of the bracket by totally loosening the wing knobs and letting them slide out. These studs can be used to mount the bracket to a 1/4"-20 (standard) and 3/8" threaded stand or tripod tops. One stud is used for the flash shoe. The shoe may be unscrewed from this stud.

  Once the stud is removed, the bracket may be mounted vertically, or horizontally out from the top of almost any stand with a 5/8" (Baby) top.
