Vintage Conditions

Good conditions early in season with limited rainfall and
humidity made for a disease-free season. Equinox winds came later than in the past and affected fruit set which resulted in uneven berry set early on. Late January brought some warmer days and helped the fruit get to a more even berry size. cool summer and autumn made for good acid and fruit retention.

Winemaking

The wine is barrel fermented and aged on fermentation lees for 9 months.50% french/50% American Oak. 25% Malolactic and moderate battonage. Racked of ferment lees and left in stainless steel for 2 months before bottling unfiltered and un-fined. Wine spends 16months in bottle before release.

Tasting Note

White peach, stone fruit and orange blossom with a hint of lemon peel and elegant oak on the nose. Palate is well weighted and has refined texture that is supported by bright acid. Lengthy finish with good mouthfeel
