A wide-open arch cave that lets cats feel snug without feeling shut in — because not every cat wants to disappear completely.
Some cats want a fully enclosed den; others want to keep one eye on the room while they nap. The PawCave™ is built for the second type — a wide arch opening that feels open and inviting, with enough structure overhead to give a real sense of shelter. The bear character front panel (available in grey, brown or pink) keeps things charming without taking up much floor space.
The wide arch opening
The front arch spans the full width of the bed, which means cats can come and go without squeezing through a small hole. It also means they can lie with their head poking out — a position most cats seem to prefer. The arch is reinforced so it holds its shape and does not sag over the cat's head.
Arctic velvet outer, plush fleece interior
The outside shell is Arctic velvet — a short-pile fabric that is soft to the touch and holds its colour well. The inside is lined with a deeper plush fleece that retains warmth without getting hot in summer. The two-layer construction is what gives the bed its shape as well as its comfort.
Dangling pom-pom toy on cord
A soft pom-pom ball hangs from a cord fixed to the inside of the arch roof. It gives cats something to bat at while they settle in, which can help a new bed feel less unfamiliar. The cord is stitched into the seam — it is not designed to be removed, so if your cat chews cords, it is worth keeping an eye on this and cutting it away if needed.
Removable cushion base
The padded cushion that lines the base lifts out cleanly for washing. This is the part that picks up most of the hair, dander and general mess from regular use, so being able to throw it in the wash without laundering the whole bed is a practical advantage. The outer shell can be spot-cleaned.

Honest notes
One size only: This product is currently available in one size — 30×30×28cm. It suits most adult cats and small dogs up to approximately 4 kg. Larger cats may find it a tight fit.
The dangling toy cord: The pom-pom cord is stitched into the arch seam and is not designed to be removed. If your cat tends to chew or swallow string or cord, cut the toy away before use — the bed works perfectly well without it.
Washing: The removable cushion base can be machine washed. The outer shell is best spot-cleaned or hand washed — machine washing the whole bed may affect the shape of the arch over time.
New bed settling-in: Cats can take a few days to accept a new bed. Placing a worn item of clothing inside or positioning the bed near a favourite resting spot can speed things up.
Questions & answers
What size cat does this suit?
The internal dimensions are 30×30×28cm, which suits most adult cats and small dogs up to approximately 4 kg. A large or broad-chested cat may find the arch opening a little snug. If in doubt, measure your cat from nose to tail base and compare against the 30cm floor diameter.
Is the dangling toy safe?
The pom-pom toy is made from the same plush material as the bed lining and is securely stitched to a cord in the arch roof. As with any cat toy involving a cord, it should not be left unsupervised with cats that are prone to chewing or ingesting string. If you are in any doubt, simply cut the cord away — the bed functions perfectly without the toy.
Will the arch keep its shape over time?
The arch is filled and reinforced to hold its dome shape under normal use. To preserve the shape, we recommend spot-cleaning or hand-washing the outer shell rather than putting the whole bed in a machine wash. The removable cushion base can go in the machine without any effect on the arch.
My cat ignores new beds — any tips?
This is very common. Try placing a piece of your worn clothing inside the bed — familiar scent makes a big difference. Positioning it near a radiator, a window ledge with a view, or wherever your cat already likes to rest also helps. Most cats come round within a few days once the new-item smell fades.
Does this come in larger sizes?
Currently we only stock the one size (30×30×28cm). If there is demand for a medium or large version we will look at adding them — feel free to drop us a message if a bigger size would suit your pet.

Can I return it if it's not right?
Yes. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, visit our contact page and we'll sort it out. Returns are free within 30 days for unused items in original condition. Once a pet has used the product we cannot accept a return for hygiene reasons.
