The Milkyway constellation adorns the sky and an owl flies low over the mountains at dusk. This piece is one-of-a kind and hand fabricated using the enameling technique of cloisonné. Many layers of Japanese enamel are applied onto patterned fine silver and fired over and over as each layer is added to create scenes with beautiful depth and dimension. The finished piece is then set like a gemstone in a hand fabricated sterling silver setting created to capture the idea of wind swirling beneath the sweep of owl’s wings. The back of the piece is finished with one of my quick study sketches, one of my favorite things to do.
Pendant measures 2x 2.25 inches
Chain is 16 inches and has an adjustable section so it can be worn anywhere between 16-18 inches.
